I am a 22 year veteran in the trucking industry as a driver, trainer and mentor. I have driven dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, doubles and triples, tankers and 24ft box trucks as well as garbage trucks. I have traveled all over the United States delivering and picking up freight, I have driven through all kinds of weather effectively and safely. I wanted to be something more than just a driving professional. I am also a Husband, Father, Minister and I am a leader in my community of people. When it comes to decision making the bottom line is always do the right thing, while holding yourself accountable to honor, dignity and integrity. About 6 months ago I was driving through the roads of Idaho, thinking about my life. I was thinking about my Mother and Father that recently passed away 3 months apart from each other and my son who passed away a few years before that. My family and I had just relocated from North Carolina to Utah and I was ready to come off the road to be more present in the lives of my wife and 2 young adult daughters needing their father to be more present, so I decided to make a change. I'm sure you've heard about it but you may have not received the information on how to obtain this particular type of license without going on Google or Youtube, which will only leave you with more questions, you don't know where to go or who to ask. I'm here to tell you that it's easier to get a cdl than you think whether you have the money or not. Did you know that there are trucking companies that will hire you, train you and some will even send you to school and provide transportation with no money out of your own pocket. In most cases all you have to do is work for them for the first year after getting your license. There are also schools that offer financial assistance or if you have the funds you can pay out of pocket which can be anywhere from $5000 - $8000 depending on the school.Truck drivers are in such high demand that almost anyone can qualify. You just have to be willing to put in the work; it's not easy and yes it is a lot of hard work and training; it takes a lot of commitment and determination. The truth is it's not for everyone; you have to be a certain type of person to be a truck driver. Overcome these challenges and you’ll find out that It also can be rewarding and one of the few careers that becomes a part of your DNA then you can not see yourself doing anything else. Helping people to get a Commercial Driver License as a way of bettering their lives, is the reason why I started this agency. If it worked for me I know it should work for you.
